Liu Antang, male, has been engaged in plastic and aesthetic surgery for many years with extensive experience. Over the years, he has continued to study and is frequently invited to attend domestic and international academic conferences on medical aesthetics and plastic surgery. He earned his PhD in Plastic Surgery from the former Second Military Medical University and is an associate chief physician. He completed postdoctoral training at the Center for Tissue Regeneration and Repair, Columbia University, USA, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, and currently works at Tianjin Huamei Medical Aesthetic Hospital.

 

Dr. Liu Antang has advanced steadily on the path of medical aesthetics. His natural surgical approaches and remarkable postoperative results have been recognized and accepted by many. Dr. Liu studied under Professor Jiang Hua and Professor Lin Zihao, renowned Chinese plastic surgery experts. During his study in the United States, he received personal guidance from Dr. Cochran Spencer (an international master of rhinoplasty and a close disciple of Professor JP Gunter, founder of the Dallas Rhinoplasty Forum) and Dr. Bahman Guyuron (Professor at Case Western Reserve University and an internationally renowned master of rhinoplasty and endoscopic brow lifting). He has systematically mastered the key techniques of open-approach comprehensive rhinoplasty and, integrating the anatomical and aesthetic differences between Asians and Westerners, localized the “Dallas Rhinoplasty” system.

Dr. Liu is a truly renowned expert in the medical aesthetics and plastic surgery industry. He has led and participated in 7 funds/projects at national, military, and Shanghai municipal levels. He has received 1 Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2016-9), 1 Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award (2012-3), 1 Second Prize of the Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award (2012-3), and 1 Third Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2016-5). He has published 9 SCI papers with a total impact factor of 18.703, including 6 as first author (including co-first author) with a total impact factor of 14.736. He has published 24 papers in Chinese core journals, including 10 as first author. In 2012, he was granted 1 utility model patent.
